Urban transport in Tangier: Final stretch of the race between Lux Transports and Autasa
Two companies were pre-qualified for the delegated management of urban bus transport during the bid opening session chaired on Tuesday, 15 January, by the mayor of Tangier, Fouad El Omari.
Two companies were pre-qualified for the delegated management of urban bus transport during the bid opening session chaired on Tuesday, 15 January, by the mayor of Tangier, Fouad El Omari. These are Autasa, a subsidiary of the Spanish group Ruiz, as well as the Moroccan company Lux Transports. The former has been in charge of urban transport in Tangier since the end of July 2001, while the latter has seen its activity develop in recent years by obtaining the concession for a large number of lines across Morocco.It should be noted that these two candidates were pre-qualified from a total of eight companies that had withdrawn their application files.
