About Fez-Meknes region
Fès-Meknès (Arabic: فاس-مكناس, Berber languages: Fas-Meknas, ⴼⴰⵙ-ⵎⴻⴾⵏⴰⵙ) is one of the twelve Regions of Morocco. It has a population of 4,236,892 (2014 census). Its capital is Fès and its current president is Mohand Laenser and its current Wali is Said Zniber.

Fès-Taza-Meknès (in Arabic: فاس-تازة-مكناس, in Amazigh: ⴼⴰⵙ-ⵜⴰⵣⴰ-ⵎⴽⵏⴰⵙ), also known as the Saïss region, is one of the 12 regions of Morocco established by the 2015 territorial division.
The region includes the cities of Fès, Meknès, Taza, Zouagha, Ouislane, Boulemane, El Hajeb, Sefrou, Missour, Outat El Haj, and Ifrane.
The Fès-Meknès region extends across the Saïss plateau. It includes the perimeter of the former Fès-Boulemane region along with the northern half of the Meknès-Tafilalet region, namely the prefecture of Meknès and the provinces of Ifrane and El Hajeb.
