Hassani poetry in the spotlight
The National Human Rights Council (CNDH), Laâyoune-Smara section, recently organised a ceremony in Laâyoune to present the collection of the Hassani poet the late Mahjoub Oueld Attayeb Oueld Yara, with a view to contributing to the promotion of Hassani heritage in accordance with the provisions of the new Constitution, as one of the levers of national cultural identity. This meeting, which is part of the strategy aimed at preserving the cultural memory and the tangible and intangible cultural heritage of the region, aims to pay tribute to the symbols of Sahrawi culture, to perpetuate their memory, and to archive their works with a view to enriching the Sahrawi library.
