The narcotics brigade of the judicial police of the Hay Hassani district (Casablanca) put an end to the activities of two alleged dealers of the psychotropic drug Ecstasy and seized a batch of nearly ten thousand tablets, it was indicated on Thursday from a police source.

After surveillance, the investigators caught a young man, 23 years old, at the Oulad Ziane bus station, who had just arrived from Tangier with 100 Ecstasy tablets in his possession, the unit price of which is sold for 150 dirhams, the head of the brigade, Aziz Siouane, indicated to MAP. The latter, who was in charge of the distribution of Ecstasy in the cities on his route to Casablanca, did not take long to make full confessions by denouncing his supplier, also residing in the city of the strait, and who was arrested, in turn, with 300 of these tablets in his possession, according to the same source.

A search of the supplier's home led to the seizure of a batch of 9,276 other units of this central nervous system stimulant possessing psychotropic characteristics and classified as a narcotic, for a total of 9,676 tablets with a value estimated at more than 1.4 million dirhams.
