The 4th edition of the Tinghir Cinema Festival will take place from 14 to 17 April with three competitions on the menu (local, national, and international) and the screening of 16 films.
Organised by the "Arts without Borders" Association in collaboration with the Tinghir Municipal Council, the Festival has selected for the national competition, after selection, the films "Al Maklama Almalghouma" by Salah Nadim and Hafid Bouzekraoui, "The Fruit of Failure" by Sidi Mohamed Belghali, "Chapter" by Sanae Kherdani, "The Man" by Adil Machkour, and "The Wheelchair" by Lahcen Nayt Bohou, the organisers indicate in a press release.
The films that were selected for the local competition are: "The Fever" by Zouhair El Harti, "Tafournout" by Fatima Tounanourt El Haouzi, and "Timna" by Badie Abderrahmane, while those that were selected for the international competition are notably "Sonar" by Mohamed Salem (Egypt), "Jawan" by Ali El Jabri (Iraq), "My Father" by Mohamed Adil Abdeladim (France), "Identity" by Hanae Saleh El Fassi (Saudi Arabia), and "If, society" by Mustapha El Mliji (Egypt).
The jury is composed of actress Fatima Atif (president), researcher and critic Mounir Waskoum, and academic Moulay Ahmed Slimani.
During this edition, the films that will compete in the official competition will win the three festival prizes (the Tinghir Grand Prix, the Best Director Award, and the Best Screenplay Award).
