The 7th edition of the Khouribga International Documentary Film Festival (Fifdok), initiated by the eponymous Association from 23 to 26 December, will pay tribute to British cinema as the guest of honour.
Nine films will be in the running for the prizes of this edition out of 78 selected by a jury having "taken into consideration criteria of audiovisual quality, the depth of the theme and aesthetics," indicates a press release from the organisers.
These films will be judged by a jury composed of Ahmed Aârab, researcher at the Faculty of Sciences and Techniques of Tangier and director of documentary films, Karima Yahyaoui, writer and researcher at the King Fahd School of Translation in Tangier and Mustapha Soufi, journalist.
The films in competition are works by directors representing England, Iran, Norway-Palestine, Tunisia, Qatar, Lebanon and Saudi Arabia.
Morocco will be represented by "Artistic Verses" by Hakim Kabbani and "We Sing No More" by Khalid Brahimi.
Organised by the OCP Group, the Moroccan Cinematographic Centre, the Urban Commune of Khouribga and other partners, this edition will be punctuated by a series of artistic and cultural activities.
