Customer satisfaction and loyalty are certainly one of the first keys to marketing a destination. The region's professionals are aware of this. A satisfaction study is now included in the Regional Tourism Council's plan. This survey will be carried out in partnership with the urban commune of Agadir, the HCP (High Commission for Planning) and the ENCG. Thus, it will begin this month of February 2014 and will be in the form of a questionnaire. The objective is to evaluate and measure the quality of services and the Agadir product among foreign clients staying at the time of the survey in the city of Agadir's classified tourist establishments. "The project team that will take charge of this survey will have to collect data on expectations, elements of product or service quality, the perception of gaps, to arrive at satisfaction indicators, as felt by the tourists themselves," it is emphasised at the CRT. As a result, the results collected during this survey will make it possible to draw up a table of flaws to be improved to enhance the quality of services and the product. Measures to ensure good information collection from clients have been established. "This collection of information on the client's perception regarding the quality of the service and the product that the tourist has paid for will be done within the framework of an interview in the form of a discussion, during which a questionnaire is submitted to the client to collect their point of view on the state and level of their satisfaction or dissatisfaction regarding the quality of the service and the product," it is explained. Said questionnaire will focus, among other things, on the motivations of tourists in choosing the destination, the degree of loyalty, the level of satisfaction regarding the products and services offered by the destination, expectations as well as the sociodemographic, cultural and economic profile of the tourist. As a result, the elements of this survey will make it possible to draw up the profile of the destination's tourists, to know their motivation regarding the choice of the destination as well as the methods used to proceed with the booking of their stay as well as the accommodation formula chosen. Furthermore, the results of this study will give the destination's professionals the possibility of evaluating, on the one hand, the expenses incurred abroad for the purchase of the stay and on the other hand, those incurred during their stay. "The information that will be collected will be of great use to professionals in the sector with a view, on the one hand, to being able to establish an objective, credible and realistic diagnosis of the situation and on the other hand, to operationalise this diagnosis with the aim of proposing, within the framework of an action plan, specific solutions aimed at the recovery of the sector and the introduction of the quality approach," it is explained. It should be noted that the survey will take place, initially, at the hotel level after 3 or 4 nights of stay in Agadir. The survey will take place from 22 February until the end of the month. Training will be given to the investigators. The launch of the second and third phases of the survey is planned for the month of July and the months of October and November while the final report will be given at the end of February 2015. "The ongoing survey represents the beginning of a long and important phase in the implementation of future strategic tourism decisions for the destination, insofar as the results collected will be reliable and concrete strategic criteria and foundations," it is explained at the CRT. As a reminder, the questionnaire is in Arabic, French, English, German, Russian and Polish.
