A new tourist complex has just been born: Agadir's bed capacity is strengthened

A new tourism project has just strengthened the destination's bed capacity. Opened at the beginning of July, the Lunja Village complex is part of the tourism development strategy of the Biladi plan. The capacity of this new complex is estimated at 500 units and offers that are divided into three categories. The said complex includes apartment hotels, chalets, and hotel suites. Note that each unit is composed of two bedrooms as well as the necessary equipment. Built on a plot of land with an area of 38.5 hectares, north of Agadir and on the road to Essaouira, this project adjoins the beach of Imi Ouaddar and is located about ten kilometres from the beach of Taghazout. "In addition to the hilly topography, the animation, leisure, and service component includes six swimming pools, an aquapark (which will be operational next October), an international restaurant "Le Gourmet" with 200 covers, a tea room "Riad des saveurs" with 150 seats, an ice cream tea room "Le Mimosa" with 70 seats, a lobby bar "Le Diplomat" with a capacity of 50 seats, a "Lunja Village" Cheringuito on our private beach, four snack bars near the pools, 4 sports fields, a Kid's Club, an infirmary, a mini-market, a conference room, and two sub-committee rooms with a total capacity of 700 guests and a reception building with an administrative centre," announce the project promoters. Note in the same context that "Lunja Village" also has two campsites, a 1st category camping-caravanning area, providing 240 pitches, and a 2nd category camping area, providing 450 pitches. As a reminder, this complex belongs to the CGI (Compagnie Générale Immobilière), CDG Group, while management has been entrusted to the company Continental Bay Hotels & Resorts Management. This new complex thus strengthens the destination's reception capacity. A demand tirelessly requested by tour operators. Indeed, bed capacity constitutes a handicap in the promotion and marketing of the destination. Admittedly, the city's capacity remains limited, or even in decline. The delay in certain tourism projects, the lack of adherence of sector professionals to the Renovotel project, as well as the closure of several other hotel establishments in recent years place the destination before the urgent challenge of strengthening its ability to seduce and meet the demand of tour operators.
