The residents of Mohammedia have become accustomed to occasional sanitary controls of animal products and foodstuffs "Summer season and holy month of Ramadan" which in the end have proven ineffective. Food poisoning continues to occur, accentuating the problem of consumer safety. To this is added the predominance of the informal sector and the worrying deficit in modern slaughter and preparation units for white meat, which encourages clandestine slaughter. Chicken, a preferred and highly consumed food, nevertheless remains pointed at, especially during periods of high heat, a particular period where sanitary priority must be rigorous: if there is a problem that deserves particular attention, it is that of white meat.
