With a time of 1h 51mn 10s, Hammou Maoudji managed, during this sporting event organized jointly by the Royal Moroccan Ski and Mountain Sports Federation (FRMSM) and the Khénifra province, to outdo the Bahraini of Moroccan origin Ait Lahcen Abdellatif, author of 1 h 52 mn 55 s, and Aziz El Filali from Khénifra (2 h 00 mn).

Among the ladies, this edition was dominated by athletes representing the locality of Khénifra, namely Hanane Kallouj (2 h 17 mn 38 sec) and Bouchra Assahli (3 h 26 mn 11). The third position went to Keltoum Bouassria, a member of the FAR military club who covered the 30 km distance in 2 h 26 mn 12 sec.

For the organizers, this event, which is at once sporting, cultural, and social, aims to contribute to the enhancement of the region's tourist potential and, consequently, to promote economic and tourist dynamics in the province through sport.

All organizational conditions were favorable to make the Ajdir Trail a place for meetings, discoveries, and performances for amateurs of this sporting discipline, declared the director of this race, Essaidi Bennaceur, to MAP, noting that some 150 amateur and seasoned national trailers took part in this edition contested in the middle of the Aguelmame Azegza National Park at an altitude between 1,600 m and 1,700 m. He added that the course was drawn between thousand-year-old cedar trees and Zayane villages, a symbol of national resistance against colonialism.

This sporting event was enhanced by a tribute paid to the Moroccan athlete Abdelkader Mouaziz, winner of the New York (2000), Marrakech (1996, 1997, 1999), and London (1999 and 2001) Marathons.

This sporting event took place in the middle of the Ajdir cedar forest, this historic site from which H.M. King Mohammed VI had announced, in October 2001, the creation of the Royal Institute of Amazigh Culture (IRCAM).
