The Tanger Med Port Complex exceeded the 10 million container handling barrier during the year 2024.
The Tanger Med Port Authority announced that the port complex handled 10,241,392 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEU) in 2024, an increase of 18.8% compared to 2023.
Regarding the increase in truck traffic, 516,842 international transport trucks were processed by Tanger Med Port in 2024, an increase of 8.1% compared to 2023. Industrial product traffic witnessed a growth of 6.8% and food products witnessed a development of 7.2%.
The Tanger Med Port Complex also received 3,047,387 passengers in 2024, recording a growth of 13% compared to 2023. Operation Marhaba, which represents the main transit period for passengers, took place in good conditions during the 2024 cycle.
