The winners received the award during a ceremony hosted by the Press House in Tangier in the presence of the Wali of the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region, Younes Tazi, the Governor of the Fahs-Anjra province, Abdelkhalek Marzouki, the Secretary of State in charge of Social Inclusion, Abdeljabbar Rachidi, the President of the Regional Council, Omar Moro, the Director in charge of managing the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency, Mohamed Salem Cherkaoui, the Palestinian Ambassador accredited to the Kingdom of Morocco, Jamal Choubaki, and a group of press, media, cultural and civil society figures.
The award for the best media work for marketing the image of the city of Tangier went to Abderrahim Tafnout from the second channel for the "Kan Ya Makan programme" consisting of five episodes on the history of the city of Tangier, while the award for the best cultural work for marketing the image of the city of Tangier went to the writer and translator Abdelkhalek Najmi for his book "Secret Conversations about Tangier".
The Tanger Med award for the best economic media work was shared by Hamza El Metioui from the newspaper "Assahifa" on the subject "Tanger Med, a port complex the size of a state", and Bouchra El Hadiki from the Tamazight channel, affiliated with the National Company for Radio and Television, for an economic magazine programme entitled "Tangier, an economic hub growing strongly in the Kingdom".
The Tanger Med award for the best economic study and research was shared by Sofia Fekroud from the "Chaine Inter" radio station of the Moroccan National Company for Radio and Television for an economic report entitled "Brown Algae and the Invaders of the Mediterranean", and the researcher Abderrafie Zaanoun, author of a study on "The role of Morocco in migration governance", while the Migration and Moroccans of the World award went to Farhana Ayach from Medi 1 radio for the Moroccans of the World programme "A Moroccan migrant from Gabon" shared with Abdellah Tijani from the Hespress website for a report entitled "The Great Escape, a journey of suffering for thousands of young people and minors dreaming of mass migration".
The Director of the Higher Institute of Information and Communication, Abdellatif Bensafia, President of the jury for the award, which also included journalist Nadia Abram and writer and critic Yahya Ben El Walid, confirmed that the competition saw the participation of a group of high-level works that addressed the status of the city of Tangier at various levels.
In a speech on the occasion, the President of the Press House in Tangier, Said Kobrit, considered that the Press House award aims to "appreciate and motivate the continued exploration of the finest methods to market the image of Morocco, and the city of Tangier, a city of human and universal radiance".
The ceremony was a moment of sincere recognition, by honouring leading media and cultural paths that have left a mark of excellence, superiority and genius, namely the dean of Moroccan journalists, Seddik Maaninou, the Secretary General of the Communication Sector and Acting Director of the Cinematographic Centre, Abdelaziz El Boujdaini, the Director of the Cultural Channel, Abdessamad Ben Cherif, the Vice-President of the National Press Council, Fatima Zahra Ouriaghli, the writer and Director of the Higher School of Architecture and Building Crafts at the University of Fez, Mustapha Akalai, and the writer and journalist Philippe Boulon.
