The city of the strait will host the International University Theatre Festival of Tangier (FITUT) from 26 to 31 October 2015. This ninth edition celebrates the pearl of the strait under the theme "Tangier: cradle of arts and crossroads of cultures".

Workshops, round tables and masterclasses are on the programme for this edition, alongside the plays competing in the official competition. The festival will illuminate the city of Tangier and allow the public to attend daily theatrical performances by troupes from all four corners of the globe. The event will pay tribute to great icons of Moroccan theatre.
