The film "A mile in my shoes" by Saïd Khallaf won the Grand Prix during the 17th edition of the National Film Festival which closed on Saturday 5 March in Tangier. This work also distinguished itself with three other prizes. Its lead actor, Amine Ennaji, received the prize for best male lead. Fatima Harrandi's performance was rewarded with the prize for best female lead, while the prize for original music was awarded to Mohamed Oussama for the same film. "A mile in my shoes" immerses the spectator in the life of a teenager who has always lived in misery and suffering before deciding to take revenge on a severe and intolerant society. The festival unveiled a list of winners that values the creativity of Moroccan directors, actors, and artists.
Among the other awards, "La mélodie de la morphine" by Hicham Amal received the First Work Prize, while "Petits bonheurs" by Mohamed Chrif Tribak received the Screenplay Prize. Director Hicham Lasri also distinguished himself in this 17th edition thanks to his work "The sea is behind" which received the Directing Prize and the Critics' Prize. The jury chaired by Mohammed Noureddine Affaya also rewarded the film "Raja bent el mellah" by Abdelilah Eljaouhary by awarding it the Jury's Special Prize. In the short film category, "L'homme au chien" by director Kamal Lazraq received the Grand Prix. The film "L’appel de trung" by Mohammed Hicham Regragui received the Jury's Special Prize and the Critics' Prize, while Sanae El Mesbahi received the Jury's Special Prize for "Signature".
