The Tanjazz Festival returns from September 22 to 24
On the occasion of this new event, Tanjazz will offer music lovers two days of celebration within the Palace of Italian Institutions with its three stages which will host 14 paid-access concerts, but also concerts and brass bands with free access, which the public will discover throughout the city during the three days. To offer a foretaste to its regulars, this great musical mass unveils a first part of its line-up with the Gipsy Kings who will be accompanied by Nicolas Reyes, masters of rumba flamenca, the pianists and composers Omar Sosa (Cuba), Tigran Hamasyan (Armenia) and Roberto Fonseca (Cuba), but also, the Italian soul singer Mario Biondi, the young French pianist, virtuoso of boogie-woogie, Nirek Mokar, as well as the trumpeter from New Orleans James Andrews. “This new edition of Tanjazz will offer an enriched programme, to fully enjoy the magic of the capital of the Strait. The ambition is to offer a festival experience faithful to the DNA of Tanjazz. The new organisation team thus extends this promise of openness and discovery, while broadening the reach of the festival to new audiences”, the organisers announce in a statement. The rest of the programme will be unveiled at the beginning of September with names from the worlds of Swing, Jazz, Blues, Rock, Soul and World Music.
