The Moroccan Association for a Sustainable Environment (AMED) and the National School of Applied Sciences (ENSA) in Tangier are organising the seventh edition of the Sustainable Development Days from 16 to 18 April. Organised in partnership with the "Gas Natural Fenosa" Foundation, the Press House, and the Regional Observatory for Environment and Sustainable Development (OREDD) of Tangier-Tetouan, the event will take place at the Press House in Zyaten under the theme "Water:

a vital resource at the heart of sustainable development".

In addition to the scheduled conferences, workshops, and round tables, an exhibition space called the "Eco-Enterprise Forum" is planned on the sidelines of this edition. During the event, speakers will discuss the importance and challenges of sustainable water management as a vital resource.

"The Sustainable Development Days have become an unmissable annual event punctuated by meetings, debates, and exchanges on themes related to the environment and sustainable development. The objective is to introduce the general public to the various aspects of sustainable development, as well as to contribute to promoting a culture of sustainable development in its economic, social, and environmental dimensions among citizens in general, and among middle school, high school, and university students in particular," the organisers state.

The event also aims to introduce future executives to environmental management and its impact on corporate life.

It is also a question of creating a space for exchange between the various socio-economic components interested in environmental and sustainable development issues (public bodies, universities, industrialists, and associations). Furthermore, AMED was created in January 2010 within ENSA Tangier with the aim of capitalising on and expanding the scope of action, on a national scale, of the ENSA Environment Club, which has been among the most active clubs at Abdelmalek Essaâdi University since 2003.

The latter's mission is the promotion, awareness, education, and training in sustainable development.
