The proceedings of the seventh edition of the Sustainable Development Days opened last Thursday at the Press House in Tangier, on the theme "Water: a vital resource at the heart of sustainable development". This three-day meeting, organized by the Moroccan Association for a Sustainable Environment (AMED), is intended to be a place for exchange around the themes of the environment and sustainable development.
On the program of this three-day event is the organization of round tables focusing on the national water strategy, the preservation of water resources, the perspectives and challenges of hydraulic energy in Morocco, good practices for water management in industrial sectors, and techniques for treating industrial liquid waste, which will be moderated by experts, academics, and officials, in addition to discovery and innovation workshops in the field of sustainable development. The head of the Regional Environment Service in Tangier, Lhoussaine Khidour, emphasized the imperative of promoting scientific research and innovation in fields related to water, the environment, and sustainable development, calling on companies to adopt a management approach that respects ecological conditions and the principles of preserving this vital resource.
