Tanger will host the 5th colloquium

The 5th Mediterranean Notaries Colloquium will be held on 26 and 27 March in Tanger, under the theme "The notary, partner in development and guarantor of legal security".

Placed under the High patronage of H.M. King Mohammed VI, this colloquium, organised by the Order of Notaries of Morocco in partnership with the International Union of Notaries (UINL), will bring together notaries, experts, jurists and economic operators from 22 countries around the Mediterranean, including Spain, Algeria, France, Italy, Turkey, Slovenia and Tunisia.

Participants in this meeting will have to debate several subjects relating in particular to "The organisation and practice of the profession", "Notarial acts and economic efficiency", "Public-private partnership" and "Succession regimes in private international law", specify the organisers in a press release received by the MAP on Thursday.

This event constitutes an opportunity to accompany the dynamic that the field of notaries is experiencing in Morocco in terms of strengthening the role of the National Council of Notaries in the areas of supervision, qualification, moralisation and the consolidation of its vocation for the protection of rights and property, encouragement of investment and support for the economic attractiveness of the Kingdom, explains the same source.

The Colloquium will also be an opportunity to exchange experiences in terms of legal and contractual supervision of public-private partnership, which is experiencing a significant dynamic at the national level, following the development of a new legal framework and the opportunities it presents within the framework of the implementation of sectoral strategies launched in Morocco.

Participants in this international meeting should also examine ways of bringing the legal systems of Mediterranean countries closer together, particularly in the field of implementing the provisions of succession contracts in private international law, as well as evaluating the impact of the generalisation of the notarial act on contractual security in the Mediterranean basin.
