"The Hen" wins the Grand Prix of the Short Film Festival
The film "The Hen" by Croatian director Una Gunjak won the Grand Prix of the 12th edition of the Tangier Mediterranean Short Film Festival (FCMMT), awarded Saturday evening during the closing ceremony of this event organized under the High Patronage of H.M. King Mohammed VI.The film tells in 15 minutes the story of Salma who receives a live chicken as a gift for her 6th birthday. When she realizes that the animal is going to be killed to feed the family, she decides to set it free, without worrying about the seriousness of such a decision. The Spanish film "La Gallina" by Manuel Raga, for its part, received the Jury Prize, while the Directing Prize went to the Serbian film "Path in a Rye Field" by Goran Stankovic. The best screenplay prize rewarded the Turkish film "Eight Months" by director Huseyin Aydin Gursoy, while Moroccan actor Younes Tazairt won the prize for best male performanc…
