Traffic disrupted at the Tanger-Med passenger port
Clocks do not seem to be on time at the port of Tanger-Med. Delays have reportedly become frequent, even banal. Thus, it is rare to find a single boat in the port between noon and 7:00 p.m. This is how Youssef Benjelloun, president of the Mediterranean Maritime Chamber (CMM), described the situation in a statement published on the CMM website. According to him, this delay due to the low number of boats operating in the port and the lack of administrative rigour in control, costs the national economy as well as exporters dearly. "Export companies suffer martyrdom, especially those that export fragile products such as flowers, fish, snails, etc. because these products do not withstand long hours of waiting," he specified.
