The first three headliners are the Cameroonian Richard Bona, the American Melody Gardot, and the Serbo-Croatian artist Goran Bregovic.
The city of Casablanca will host the 11th edition of Jazzablanca, from 16 to 24 April at the large Anfa Stage, which will welcome, as every year, international stars of Jazz and Pop music.
This Jazz festival, which has quietly made a place for itself in the shadow of the towers of the economic capital, has unveiled its first three headliners, namely the Cameroonian Richard Bona, the American Melody Gardot, and the Serbo-Croatian artist Goran Bregovic, we learned on Monday from the organisers.
On Sunday 17 April, Jazzablanca will present the virtuoso Cameroonian bassist, Richard Bona. Nicknamed by his fans The African Sting, the singer-songwriter offers elegant jazz-rock and melodies from his native Cameroon.
For Tuesday 19 April, the Anfa stage will welcome an artist who had dazzled the festival audience in 2013, namely Melody Gardot. The American with the velvet voice will be back this year to present her new album Currency of Man.
On Wednesday 20 April, Goran Bregovic will drop off his suitcases and those of his orchestra at Jazzablanca. A musician from the former Yugoslavia, Goran Bregovic is one of the greatest European composers. Bregovic will deliver a generous and festive performance on a mixture of gypsy music and world sounds.
