Networking of elected women
The province of Moulay Yacoub is organising, on 3 July, a seminar on networking for the development of leadership and the strengthening of the active participation of local elected women within elected councils and communes.
This event, initiated with the support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) within the framework of the Local Governance Programme (LGP), aims to open the debate on the consideration of networking local elected women for the strengthening of their active participation in public and political decision-making. This seminar also aims to provide local elected women with a framework for exchanging experiences and sharing inter-provincial expertise on the challenges of networking. Beyond these objectives, the networking of local elected women contributes, according to the organisers, to the promotion of local democracy through the emergence of the leadership of elected women in the perspective of the upcoming communal elections.
