The provincial committee of the National Initiative for Human Development (CPDH) of Moulay Yacoub met recently in an ordinary session under the chairmanship of the governor of the province, Mohamed Anis. On the agenda was the presentation of the INDH report for the year 2011, as well as the study and approval of projects programmed for 2012. Regarding the 2011 report, 61 projects, with a total amount of 18,790,045.71 DH, were programmed in Moulay Yacoub within the framework of the INDH.
These projects, whose average completion rate is around 73%, directly or indirectly benefited a population of 40,426 people. Distributed by programme, 29 projects fall within the programme to fight poverty in rural areas, 25 projects in the programme to fight precariousness (274.41 MDH), while 7 projects were carried out within the framework of the transversal programme. These projects notably aimed at the creation of income-generating activities (AGR), social and cultural animation, and the improvement of living conditions for people in precarious situations. As for the projects programmed in 2012 and adopted by the CPDH of Moulay Yacoub, priority was given to the programme to fight poverty in rural areas, which will reach 9 rural communes this year.
Indeed, in addition to the 5 rural communes benefiting from the programme during its first tranche, 4 new communes will benefit from the programme to fight poverty in rural areas within the framework of its second tranche (2011-2015), which applies a threshold of 14% as the poverty rate, instead of 30%. These new communes are Oulad Mimoune, Ain Bouali, Sbaâ Rwadi, and Ain Kansara. These projects, to which 9,049,900.00 DH have been devoted, have as objectives the support for access to basic infrastructure, basic social equipment, and services for people in precarious situations (civil society), the revitalisation of the local economic fabric through income-generating and job-creating activities, support for social, cultural, and sporting action and animation, as well as the strengthening of governance and local capacities.
The CPDH of Moulay Yacoub has programmed for 2012 a project for the construction of a citizen's house "Dar Al Mouwaten" in the commune of Aïn Chkef.
With a total cost of 2.4 MDH, this project will benefit some 150 people.
Its mission will be the social and human development of the inhabitants of the commune, by initiating them into educational and social activities, and offering them qualifying training that would favour their insertion into the world of work. "Dar Al Mouwaten" of Aïn Chkef will thus be equipped with manual work workshops such as sewing and embroidery, a multimedia room, as well as spaces intended for school support and literacy courses.
