Laayoune events: The Interior Ministry deplores the lack of objectivity of Amnesty International

Amnesty International lacked objectivity by repeating false allegations about the ill-treatment allegedly suffered by six defendants involved in acts of violence and vandalism that recently occurred in the city of Laayoune. This is what the Ministry of the Interior indicated in a statement published on Saturday. The ministry specifies that “the allegations of the 17-year-old minor claiming to have been subjected to torture and ill-treatment are untruths, given that the person concerned met the public prosecutor twice. The first time during the extension of his police custody and another time during his presentation before him, without him having been able to note any trace of torture or violence”.
