The province of Khouribga will see the realisation of integrated projects in the water and environment sectors, announced last Thursday the governor of the province, Abdellatif Chadali, who presided over the signing ceremony of thematic agreements relating to the realisation of integrated projects in the water and environment sectors, between the "Ouardigha" group of communes under the province, and the company TECMED Maroc, specialised in the collection of household and similar waste.

These projects are part of a priority programme put in place for the province, in application of the 16 framework partnership agreements between the State and the regions of the Kingdom. These agreements are part of the implementation of the High Royal orientations relating to the need to adopt a participatory approach of the components and actors at the level of local authorities in order to guarantee the success of environmental upgrading in Morocco and the preservation of natural resources.

The integrated projects, which will be carried out in the province, concern in particular the construction of liquid sanitation networks, solid waste management, environmental upgrading of urban centres, schools, and mosques in rural areas, the fight against air pollution, the mobilisation of surface waters, and the valorisation of water resources.

It should be remembered that out of three companies that had bid, it was the company TECMED that won the contract for a total cost of 25 million dirhams.
