Dakhla sailors rise up against the decisions of the fisheries department
Dissatisfied with the latest decisions of the fisheries department which they deem arbitrary, the fishermen of Dakhla organised a sit-in in front of the regional fisheries delegation to express their dissatisfaction. Officers and fishermen affiliated with the National Federation of Officers and Fishermen of Morocco organised the first of a series of sit-ins that they intend to continue until their demands are met. The demonstrators asked the concerned authorities to put an end to the violations that characterise the department and which concern the sale of octopus quotas, depriving the fisherman of his right and inciting him to exercise illegally.
