From 13 to 27 May, the city of Chefchaouen will be at the time of the fourth edition of the International Photography Festival around the theme "A message of peace". This cultural event will be focused on the theme "The portrait", one of the most influential genres in terms of expression and visual language, specified the Chaouen Online association, initiator of the event, in a press release relating to this edition. A rich and varied programme is on the agenda, with the organisation of exhibitions and artistic and animation shows.

Tributes will be paid on this occasion to artists known in the field of photography at the regional, national, and international levels, in addition to the organisation of training sessions, scientific conferences, and tourist visits dedicated to photographers, who will be supervised by national and international experts in photography. According to the organisers, the receipt of applications will continue until 20 March, in order to compete for the three Prizes that will be awarded during this edition. This artistic meeting aims to contribute to the development of the project of the city of Chefchaouen as a city of photography, to strengthen its tourist attractiveness at the national and international levels, and to promote the opening of the city to other cultures and to the field of photography.

The festival also aims to develop the working tools of the Moroccan, Arab, and international artist, to accompany the novelties related to the field of photography, and to support amateur artists by allowing them to benefit from the experiences of professionals in this field, in order to develop their artistic skills and to highlight the talents of several photographers from different cities of the Kingdom, including Chefchaouen, known for its beautiful landscapes and its unique and diversified civilisational and architectural heritage.
