Opening of the Aknoul Almond Festival
The fifth edition of the Aknoul Almond Festival opened, last Monday in the urban commune of Aknoul, around the theme "The Almond Tree: perspectives for development and strengthening of quality." On this occasion, the Minister of Agriculture and Maritime Fisheries, Aziz Akhannouch, and the Minister of Employment and Social Affairs, Abdeslam Seddiki, accompanied by the governor of the Taza province, Abdelali Samti, visited the fair dedicated to almonds, which includes 56 stands. This festival is an opportunity for actors and citizens to observe the efforts deployed by the ministry for the upgrading of almond production, noted Aziz Akhannouch in a statement to the press. For his part, Abdelali Samti highlighted the efforts made to promote almond production in the region and to make the necessary means and equipment available to producers.
