The 2016 Action Plan of the Regional Commission for the Improvement of the Business Environment (CREA-CASA), presented last Tuesday at the headquarters of the Casablanca-Settat region wilaya, focuses mainly on the rehabilitation of industrial zones in the economic capital. This document, unveiled on the occasion of the first meeting of CREA-CASA for the year 2016, also covers other aspects related to the management of urban planning permits and property transfer. Speaking on this occasion, Khalid Safir, Wali of the region, stressed that "this Action Plan aims to improve the attractiveness of the Greater Casablanca region, which represents the locomotive of the national economy". He indicated that the section relating to the rehabilitation of industrial zones in this Action Plan concerns traditional zones as well as zones requiring rehabilitation and support operations. He also noted that the activation of the various decisions of CREA-CASA requires "great importance" with a view to simplifying procedures related to investment.

For his part, the President of the Casablanca-Settat region, Mustapha Bakkoury, emphasised "the need to improve the working methodology of the region's institutions in order to promote the business climate". After highlighting the role played by the Casablanca-Settat region in promoting the business environment at the national level, he called on the various actors and institutions of the region to support the economic dynamic that Greater Casablanca is experiencing. This Action Plan covers several other themes, including the improvement of conditions for setting up businesses, the simplification of procedures related to creation or investment, as well as the launch of a post-creation study of businesses via the Casablanca Regional Investment Centre.
