The Mohammedia Prefecture decided to form an investigation committee in the center of the Sidi Moussa Ben Ali commune, after the escalation of complaints from building owners about suspected irregularities in the census operations of buildings scheduled for demolition.
According to reliable sources, a number of owners submitted complaints to the prefecture, claiming that their houses were wrongly counted as part of informal housing, despite their possession of ownership documents for years.
Following this, the prefecture ordered the temporary suspension of demolition operations to investigate the content of these complaints. At the same time, the authorities continued to demolish buildings, which they consider “illegal” in “Oued El Maleh”, on the outskirts of Casablanca.
