Mohand Laenser, Secretary General of the Popular Movement party, issued a directive on Wednesday to the local officials of his party, forbidding them from "taking individual decisions at the local, regional, and provincial levels," especially regarding "concluding alliances in the name of the party, or taking positions in its name, and using the party's logo on social media."
This directive comes in response to a local announcement in Casablanca regarding the start of coordination between the Popular Movement, and the Justice and Development and Progress and Socialism parties at the level of the Ben M'Sick province. A statement was broadcast announcing this coordination yesterday, Tuesday, but the leadership of the Popular Movement did not receive it with welcome as it appears.
