Mobilising investments of around 18 million dirhams (MDH), this project, carried out by the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity, illustrates the particular interest that H.M. King Mohammed VI grants to young people, the true wealth of the Nation given the role they are called upon to play as stakeholders in the process of Morocco's social evolution. The new centre, which also reflects the Sovereign's determination to involve this segment of society in the various reforms initiated at the Kingdom level, confirms, once again, the choice of the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity to make training a privileged tool for the socio-professional integration of young people. Built on a plot of 8,300 m2 (2,750 m2 covered), the training centre for hotel and tourism professions houses a teaching hotel (reception, four rooms, Moroccan lounge, modern lounge), a catering pavilion (kitchen, restaurant, and packaging room), as well as a storeroom, classrooms, computer rooms, foreign language teaching rooms, meeting rooms, business creation support, and other facilities.
The result of a partnership between the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity (6 MDH) and the Office for Vocational Training and Promotion of Work (12 MDH), which also ensures management and pedagogical supervision, the new centre is intended for the training of competent human resources in the hotel and catering professions, necessary for the development of the tourism sector in the region. The new establishment, whose construction works were launched by H.M. King Mohammed VI on 13 July 2013, will promote access to training for candidates from remote localities, particularly young girls, just as it will ensure support for young project leaders in the hotel and tourism sectors. This solidarity project thus reinforces the various actions carried out by the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity in the Rabat-Salé-Zemmour-Zaer region, which have as their main objectives the enhancement of the potential of young people and the improvement of the living conditions of citizens. Upon their arrival at the training centre for hotel and tourism professions, H.M. King Mohammed VI and His illustrious guest were greeted by the Advisor to H.M. the King, Ms. Zoulikha Nasri, as well as by the members of the Board of Directors and the permanent support committee of the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity.
