Temara (in Arabic: تمارة) is a Moroccan urban commune, the capital of the Skhirat-Temara prefecture, within the Rabat-Sale-Zemmour-Zaer region. It is bordered by the Rabat prefecture to the north, from which it is separated by a protected wooded area called the "green belt"; the rural communes of Mers El Kheir to the east and Ain Attiq to the south; and the urban and coastal commune - along the Atlantic Ocean - of Harhoura to the west.

Until 1992, the territory of Harhoura was part of it, as was that of Ain Atiq until 2009.
