Tangier Union Club announced on Friday that the body of the late player Abdelatif Akhrif will be buried in his hometown next Sunday, after being transported from Algeria, three months after his drowning off a beach near the city of M'diq last summer.
Algerian authorities handed over late on Thursday the body of Abdelatif Akhrif, a player for Tangier Union, who had appeared on the Algerian coast after drowning off the beach of M'diq last summer.
Moroccan authorities received Akhrif's body at the border crossing between Morocco and Algeria, "Zouj Bghal", after 5 months of waiting. The body of the deceased was transported to the morgue in the city of Oujda, immediately after being received by the Moroccan authorities.
It is worth noting that Akhrif passed away last July after drowning while swimming with some of his teammates off one of M'diq's beaches. Teammate Abdelhamid Maali and a club…
