This reopening will allow for the support, in the best possible conditions, of the strong influx of traffic and the growing demand characterising this summer period.
The Tangier Ville railway station will be reopened to the public from Monday 10 August after the completion of the remodelling work and the laying of new railway tracks launched in January 2015, the National Office of Railways (ONCF) announced on Friday.
All train departures and arrivals will now resume at the Tangier Ville railway station instead of the Tangier Moghogha station, the ONCF indicates in a statement.
This reopening will allow for the support, in the best possible conditions, of the strong influx of traffic and the growing demand characterising this summer period, the same source adds, noting that the new timetables are available in all stations of the rail network.
An appropriate communication system has been put in place to inform travellers, including display in stations, announcements in stations and on board trains, the distribution of timetable leaflets as well as information via various channels (official portal, merchant site, social networks, etc.), the ONCF indicates.
