Tangier at the time of the North-South debate on gender and women's rights

The debate on gender and women's rights was at the centre of an international meeting that ended last Saturday in Tangier. Researchers, activists, journalists, trade unionists, politicians, and association members… so many profiles who had to debate a certainly complex issue. "Feminists… or not?" is the theme of this important event.Initiated by the Assyada Al Hourra Association for Citizenship and Equal Opportunities, Tangier-Tetouan, in collaboration with the International Francophone Network Gender in Action, this meeting was to bring together nearly 150 people of both sexes around the same table to try to explore new paths and new knowledge on gender, women's rights, women-men relations, as well as relations of domination in the South and the North.Several Francophone countries participated in the various thematic workshops and cross-debates.The debate took into consideration many f…
