Tangier Free Zone: A real estate fair intended for employees

This first real estate event saw the participation of about fifteen real estate developers and three financial institutions. It is a first. The Tangier Free Zone hosted, on 2 and 3 May, "The TFZ Real Estate Meetings". Organised by the Association of Investors of the Tangier Export Free Zone (AIZFET), this first real estate fair, dedicated to employees, was distinguished by the participation of about fifteen real estate developers and three financial institutions. "The main objective of this fair is to inform the zone's employees about the real estate offer located near the zone and in the city of Tangier, but also about financing conditions, guarantees to be provided, interest rates applied...", indicates Ayoub Daoudi, president of the AIZFET. According to the organisers of this first real estate meeting, the average age of the employees of all the companies in the zone, of which executives represent 10%, is 30 years. They generally want to carry out their project of acquiring their first home. "The free zone is a niche for the production of housing for social classes", emphasises Najia Hourri, deputy director of real estate promotion at the Ministry of Housing, Urban Planning and Urban Policy. The latter wishes to recall that the supervisory department has put in place an important system of projects to promote access to housing for the middle class and low-income people. "Social rental is a product well adapted, particularly to people in a transitional phase or at the beginning of their career while waiting to build up housing savings", explains Ms. Hourri. Let us note that the opening ceremony of this first real estate fair saw the presentation of a cheque by the AIZFET to the officials of the Badryoune school in the commune of Gzenaya to contribute to the renovation work of the sports fields and the construction of a new administration. Bringing together more than 500 economic operators, this association has the main mission of representing the investors of Tangier Free Zone (TFZ) to external authorities and bodies and to promote investment in the Tangier region. The AIZFET presents itself as an organisation working for projects of common interest. It is involved in actions affecting human development.
