The National School of Commerce and Management of Tangier (ENCGT) organised its 2012 Annual Forum on 18 and 19 April under the theme "ENCGT Graduate: passionate ambassador and committed sponsor". This Forum, which was part of the school's communication and outreach policy, "occupies a special place and represents, every year, a festive and studious opportunity for students and business stakeholders to meet around a specific theme," stated Abdallah Jabbouri, Director of the ENCGT, during the opening session of the event. Like the five previous editions, this Forum served as an important meeting place for ENCGT students and economic operators. This sixth edition aimed to "promote partnership and exchange between the ENCGT, to allow companies to have direct contact with the skills coming from the School, and to make companies and their activities known to students," the organisers emphasised. According to Houdaifa Ameziane, President of the Abdelmalek Essaâdi University (UAE), the Tangier-Tetouan region is the leader in terms of economic growth and job creation, thanks to the major development projects the area has experienced over the last ten years. He thus highlighted the significant challenges facing the UAE in supporting this economic dynamic. Mr Ameziane added that the university currently has eleven institutions, five of which are professional-oriented. "We have been able, over the last seven years, to reverse the trend; there has been a notable reconversion in terms of training offers to support the economic dynamic that the region is experiencing," he specified. Furthermore, this Forum served as a space for professional meetings, exchanges, and reflections through several activities, including three workshops. Among them was the one on raising awareness and promoting female entrepreneurial spirit, organised by the ENCGT in partnership with the Association of Women Business Leaders in Morocco (AFEM). "This workshop is dedicated to students and graduates of the ENCGT. It is part of a flagship project initiated in 2007 by the AFEM for the benefit of women with business creation projects. We have thus organised several caravans across Morocco, particularly in faculties and business schools, to help and raise awareness among students and young graduates to create their own businesses," affirmed Fouzia Tarik, Vice-President in charge of the business creation incubator division at the AFEM. She added that "the ENCGT will provide us with a space to host the students and graduates benefiting from this project during the incubation period".
In addition to the workshops, the programme for this sixth edition includes exhibition stands, conferences-debates, and seminars related to the event's theme.
