Dismantling of a gang of burglars in Tan Tan

The judicial police services of Tan Tan have succeeded in dismantling a gang of criminals who had sown panic among the ranks of merchants, particularly the city's pharmacists. The gang, which includes 5 individuals, two of whom are from Tan Tan and three, including the leader, from Laâyoune, used to operate like professionals. These members left no clues that could identify them. Thus, they used gloves and masks. They divided the roles among themselves. When some were operating, others stood guard. For the Land Rover-type vehicle they had at their disposal, one member was designated, whose only task was driving the vehicle.

The burglaries targeted two pharmacies, money transfer agencies, and wholesale businesses. The loot was shared equitably, and the gang leader was in charge of selling the goods resulting from the various burglaries. To carry out their crimes, the criminals, aged between 25 and 36, were always under the influence of drugs and psychotropic substances.

But given their method and the precautions they took, they would not have been arrested without the help of a member of a rival gang who denounced them while he was being questioned by the Tan Tan judicial police.

At the end of the statutory period of police custody, the suspects were transferred to Agadir, where they are to appear before the Court of Cassation.

The elements of the Laâyoune judicial police, for their part, arrested a dangerous individual accused of having caused the death of a minor. The individual in question had been arrested during the course of last week while he was prowling in the vicinity of the Khansaa middle school in Laâyoune. He was arrested again this Friday, February 15, for assault and battery resulting in the death of a minor. Indeed, before passing away following a violent blow to the skull, the victim had allegedly identified his attacker, who was immediately arrested.
