The 8th edition of the Itinerant Markets of Social and Solidarity Economy Products was organised recently in Sefrou under the banner "Cooperative work for solidarity purchasing", according to the Ministry in charge of General Affairs and Governance. This edition, the kick-off of which was given by the Minister Delegate in charge of General Affairs and Governance, Mohamed Najib Boulif, is part of the government's commitment to promote the social and solidarity economy sector, specified a ministry statement. The event, organised by the ministry in collaboration with the Fez-Boulemane region, the prefecture of Sefrou, and other partners, aims to valorise the products of social economy establishments, bring them closer to citizens, accompany projects created within the framework of human development, and find outlets for the products, stressed the statement. This event also aims to raise awareness of the importance of grouping young people and women within the framework of cooperatives and associations, and of supporting self-employment with a view to promoting income-generating activities for the creation of employment opportunities, and the fight against poverty and marginalisation, added the same source. Nearly 60 cooperatives and associations, representing different production sectors such as handicrafts and agriculture, took part in the 8th edition of the Itinerant Markets of Social and Solidarity Economy Products, contributing to the success of the event in terms of the number of visitors and the value of the products exhibited.
