In the absence of municipal achievements, the INDH adopts 65 projects in Khouribga

Looking at a city that is struggling to regain its colours due to mixed municipal management and the absence of a clear vision, Khouribga gives the image of a city that, because of several ills and a lack of involvement from local actors, is sinking into oblivion.

Faced with this inertia, the only consolation remains, however, the actions contained in the INDH programmes aimed at improving the living conditions of the population through the development of social infrastructure and the creation of small income-generating projects for the benefit, in particular, of citizens in precarious situations.

Projects were indeed validated during a meeting held on Thursday 4 December 2014, by the Provincial Committee for Human Development (CPDH), under the chairmanship of the governor of the province. Sixty-five INDH projects falling under the social exclusion programme for the current year were approved for the benefit of 77,169 beneficiaries, for a total amount of 1,899,950 DH, including 1,226,000 DH as a contribution from the INDH and 673,920 DH from partners. Projects which, for Khouribga, concern in particular the areas of IGA (Income Generating Activities) and support for access to basic infrastructure and services and socio-economic and sports activities, for an amount of 880,000 DH, including 466,000 DH as participation from the INDH and 414,000 DH subsidised by partners.

For the city of Bejaâd, nine projects are noted which also concern IGAs and socio-economic activities for an amount of 1,019,950 DH, including 760,000 DH from the INDH. In the absence of structuring projects from the municipal council, which is floundering in internal struggles at the expense of the general interest, let us hope that these INDH projects will nevertheless console a segment of the population, aiming to improve their living conditions through the development of social infrastructure and the encouragement of the creation of small income-generating projects.
