The 16th edition of the Bab Boudir Cultural and Tourist Festival will be held from 29 to 31 August at the Bab Boudir summer centre (Taza province), under the theme "Human capital, pillar of development". Initiated by the Bab Boudir Cultural and Tourist Festival Association, in partnership in particular with the Taza Provincial Council, the Taza Al Hoceima-Taounate Regional Council, and the rural commune of Bab Boudir, this festival is intended to be an opportunity to highlight the natural, cultural, and tourist potential that the Taza province possesses, with the aim of boosting tourist and economic activity in the region, the organisers indicate in a statement. This cultural and artistic event, which is expected to attract between 8,000 and 10,000 visitors per day, also aims to promote the spirit of creativity and innovation among young people as well as the exchange of experiences, the statement specifies.
The programme includes artistic evenings hosted by Moroccan artists and local folk troupes, notably Rhiyata, Béni Warayne, and Ahidous of the Atlas and Guercif, Tbourida exhibitions, sports competitions including clay pigeon shooting, pétanque, swimming, martial arts, and chess tournaments, as well as a tribute that will be paid to members of the Moroccan community residing abroad.
