Aziz Rabbah: "The integrated economic and urban development programme for Tetouan will strengthen the city's economic attractiveness"

The integrated economic and urban development programme for the city of Tetouan (2014-2018), launched on Saturday by H.M. King Mohammed VI, is part of an ambitious development approach that will strengthen the city's attractiveness in the economic and development fields, affirmed the Minister of Equipment, Transport and Logistics, Aziz Rabbah. In a statement to MAP, Mr. Rabbah specified that this new plan contained an important dimension, in that it focuses on programmes targeting all vital areas related to the citizen's daily life in an integrated manner, in order to support the city's urban and economic structure. In this regard, he stressed that this strategy aimed to ensure convergence between sectoral development programmes, with a view to accompanying the changes that the region is experiencing.

Like the urban development programmes launched by the Sovereign in other cities, this plan will allow for the completion of new road projects to reduce the traffic congestion the city is experiencing, through the facilitation of pedestrian and vehicular traffic, as well as the strengthening and improvement of road axes, he said.
