Days to promote the trade sector

For most of its visitors, the White Dove is the preferred destination for making their clothing and household purchases. To this end, the city hosts, as every year, and for two months, the seventh Trade Days.

Inaugurated with great fanfare on December 27, this event—which takes place under the theme "Training, a lever for the modernisation of trade and the guarantee of customer confidence"—comes after "the success of its six previous editions. The Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services (CCIS) is committed, through the organisation of these days—the opening of which coincides with the end-of-year period—to create the conditions and provide the tools for the smooth running of sales. This event covers, in addition to Tetouan, seven other cities in the province, notably Martil, Mdiq, Fnideq, Chefchaouen, Ouezzane, Larache, and Ksar El Kébir," indicates the president of the CCIS, Abdellatif Afilal.

According to the organisers, the choice of Tetouan to launch these seventh trade days is not fortuitous, since the city experiences a large number of visitors during this end-of-year period. And this is due to its geographical location near the Strait of Gibraltar as well as several coastal cities and holiday villages. "Tetouan is perceived, particularly by its Moroccan visitors, as a shopping city par excellence," emphasise the officials of this seventh edition.

Initiated by the CCIS of Tetouan, these Trade Days are organised in collaboration with professional associations and organisations, local authorities, as well as the seven urban communes benefiting from this event.

The activities programmed, according to the organisers, during this edition, will allow for the promotion and animation of trade in the province. "This event constitutes a major opportunity for traders to promote their products and offer the consumer a wide choice of items with good value for money," emphasises Mr. Afilal. In addition to awareness and training workshops and meetings with officials from various departments (taxes, CNSS...), the programming of these Days is distinguished by the awarding of the prize for the best shop window and commercial frontage of this seventh edition.
