The Asanaa Association for Theatre and Culture, in cooperation with the National Federation of Film Clubs in Morocco, is organising the first edition of the Tamesna Film Encounters from 26 to 28 December.
Organised under the theme "Cinema, a space for expression", this event constitutes an opportunity to encourage youth to get involved in the world of cinema, as well as to present the latest developments in this field to the public of Tamesna, the organisers indicated in a statement.
The programme includes the organisation of various cinematic and artistic activities, notably film screenings and debates between researchers and cinephiles, according to the same source.
The meeting will pay tribute to director Fatima El Jabia and will screen the films "A Woman in the Shadow" by Jamal Belmejdoub, "Hikaya" by Mohamed Bouhari, "Silent Sighs" by Meryem Jabbour, "Phone Breaker" by Hamza Atifi, and "A Certain Day" by Rachid Zaki, who will host a short film workshop on this occasion.

The city of Casablanca will host the 18th edition of the Jazzablanca Festival from 3 to 12 July, the organisers announced.
This edition inaugurates a new era in the history of Jazzablanca, which will span 10 days and offer its festival-goers an immersive and global experience, thus marking a major milestone in the journey of this event, they specify in a statement.
For the first time, the festivities will take place over two weekends (from 3 to 5 July and from 10 to 12 July) at Anfa Park, where festival-goers will be able to enjoy the festival's two iconic stages, the Casa Anfa stage and the 21 stage, as well as the central village, the same source adds.
During the days of 6, 7, 8, and 9 July, Jazzablanca will offer four exclusive evenings, with two concerts per evening, in the heart of the festival village.
For this edition, Jazzablanca promises an ambitious programme, mixing international headliners, jazz icons, Moroccan and African talents, as well as new discoveries, it concludes.
