The National Office of Electricity and Potable Water and the urban commune of Saïdia are working to complete the installation of the wastewater collection network and the treatment plant by the end of next April, as part of the completion of the city's liquid sanitation project and its seaside resort. This project will allow for the treatment of liquid waste in the city, the protection of the ecosystem on the Mediterranean coast and the improvement of hygiene conditions for the population, estimated at some 130,000 souls.
