Saïdia, nicknamed "the blue pearl", is a commune and town—a municipality—in the Berkane province, in the Oriental region of Morocco.
Saïdia is an ideal refuge for thousands of citizens of the Oriental region, given its strategic position near the main cities of the north-east. Its coastline makes Saïdia one of the longest beaches in Morocco, characterised by its fine, golden sand and its Mediterranean climate; it is now a highly appreciated destination on an international level. The town is served by three international airports: Oujda-Angad at 50 km, Nador-Aroui at 70 km, and finally Melilla at 75 km.
