When victims turn into murderers

We are in Rabat. Both Abderrahmane and Othmane, aged twenty-two and twenty-four respectively, are heading to the police prefecture. They go directly to the judicial police department to file a complaint. Carrying their backpacks, the two friends begin to tell their story of assault to the officer in charge of drafting the complaint. The two friends, who practise martial arts, claim that they had just left the gym located in the El Youssoufia district where they practise karate and had turned onto Boulevard Kandafa when three young men, armed with knives, blocked their path and ordered them to hand over the mobile phones and money they were carrying. Indeed, one of the trio, named El Aouni, who was armed with a sabre, managed to snatch a smartphone from Othmane. The two friends, as complainants, tell the officer that the three thugs fled after committing their crime.

Once the complaint was drafted, an investigation was launched by the criminal brigade. In the meantime, information stating that a young man, seriously injured and in intensive care at Ibn Sina Hospital, had just been received by the prefectural police. However, the young man passed away just as the detectives arrived, who noticed that his description matched those mentioned by the two victims of the assault. Could it be one of the trio who assaulted them more than two hours ago? "Yes," the two complainants replied when they arrived at the morgue at the police's request to confirm whether he was one of their attackers or not. Who killed him? It was the two karatekas, victims and complainants.

In fact, when El Aouni snatched the smartphone from Othmane, Abderrahmane kicked him. El Aouni fell to the ground, only to get back up and flee with his two accomplices. Afterwards, the two karatekas lay in wait for them right next to a garden in the El Youssoufia district. When the trio arrived, the two friends were already waiting for them to retrieve the phone. They quickly attacked El Aouni, snatched the sabre from him, and dealt him several blows. They retrieved the phone and headed to the police station to file a complaint.
