HM the King presides over the signing ceremony of the convention relating to the integrated urban development programme of the city of Oujda (2013-2016)

His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, presided on Thursday in Oujda over the signing ceremony of the convention relating to the integrated urban development programme of the city (2013-2016), an ambitious programme aimed at supporting the economic, urban, and demographic development of the capital of the Oriental region.

Endowed with a total budget of 826 million dirhams, this programme is structured around five main axes: strengthening road, drinking water, and liquid sanitation networks; environmental protection; development of sports infrastructure and recreational spaces; promotion of cultural activities; and support for social action, notably through the rehousing of occupants of buildings threatening to collapse and those threatened by floods. The convention relating to this programme was signed by Mohand Laenser, Minister of the Interior; Mohamed Nabil Benabdellah, Minister of Housing, Urban Planning, and Urban Policy; Mohamed Ouzzine, Minister of Youth and Sports; Aziz Rabbah, Minister of Equipment and Transport; Fouad Douiri, Minister of Energy, Mines, Water, and Environment; and Mohammed Amine Sbihi, Minister of Culture.
