Trivago writes: "Aït Benhaddou is the first destination we recommend for this new year among the 100 destinations in the ranking and one of the 26 to be included in the UNESCO heritage. Despite its small size, it is a charming and historic place". The tour operator recommends not to forget to climb to the top of the mountain where one can admire breathtaking views.
Trivago also recalls that the town was chosen for the filming of several movies such as Gladiator, Game of Thrones or Kingdom of Heaven.
While Aït Benhaddou is ranked number one, one should not forget Merzouga, which takes fourth place in this ranking, or the 11th place of the town of Chefchaouen. It should also be noted that the town of Assilah is ranked 30th, and Essaouira 42nd.
To create its ranking, the tour operator analyzed data from an algorithm that takes into account several criteria, including the "online" reputation of the hotel industry, the town's tourist attractions and, of course, the prices charged.
